NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PROPOSED FY 2020-21 BUDGET

AND ADOPTION OF THE RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE CITY’S GANN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020-21


The City Council, Housing Authority, and Parking Authority of the City of Santa Monica will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget on June 23, 2020. Pursuant to Executive Order N2920 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom, members of the City Council and City Staff will participate via teleconference at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be broadcast live on CityTV cable channel 16 and online at smgov.net. Community members are invited to provide the Council with written and oral comments concerning the City’s entire proposed budget. In lieu of attending the meeting,

the public is strongly encouraged to submit their written correspondence and written public comments via email to councilmtgitems@smgov.net. Remote public comments can be made by phone at (310) 458-8423.


At the meeting on June 23, the City Council will also adopt a resolution for the determination of the Gann Appropriations Limit for FY 2020-21. A copy of the documentation used in calculating the limit can be viewed online at finance.smgov.net/budgets-reports/Gann. The FY 2020-21 Proposed Budget can be viewed online at finance.smgov.net. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the City of Santa Monica has closed City facilities to the public through June 30, 2020.
